Training On “Carbon Management For Foreign Trade” Organized Within The Scope Of The Turkhas-3 Project in BEYSAD-TET Collaboration
28 may 2024

Within the framework of the circular regarding the "International Competitiveness Development (UR-GE) Project Support" regarding the Decision on Export Supports No. 5973, the Electrical and Electronics Exporters' Association (Turkish Electro Technology – TET) launched the "White Goods Suppliers Products" UR-GE Project in cooperation with the White Goods Suppliers Manufacturers Association (BEYSAD) and TET in order to facilitate the entry of our exporting companies in the White Goods Suppliers sector into new markets and to develop their export capacities. On July 20, 2023, an opening ceremony was held for the project with the participation of all cluster companies and a workshop was organized to draw the 3-year roadmap of the project and to determine the needs of the companies. Project work is still continuing successfully with new meetings and events.

On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, a training on Carbon Management, the second of our training activities for foreign trade within the scope of our UR-GE Project, was organized. In the training, in which Dr. Özge Yılmaz was the instructor, corporate and product carbon footprint calculations, reporting and verification, the European Union’s Green Deal and Border Carbon Adjustment Mechanisms were examined in detail and the concepts and scopes included in the ISO 14064 and ISO 14067 guides were explained, and many important topics were covered that could enable companies to take the first steps in their carbon neutral strategies or adjust their current practices.

We would like to thank our participating members and TET managers and teams, led by Hande Celayir and Özge Özyurt, for the event, which was held with the participation of 15 member companies from the TURKHAS-3 team.

We would like to thank all our members who participated and contributed.
