Dear BEYSAD readers,
We have made an interview with Mr. Burhan Özkiper from Parmet in this issue of the BEYSAD magazine. We first met him at the BEYSAD General Assembly meeting and immediately felt his positive energy. He told us that he would be willing to take part in BEYSAD activities. When we first called them for organizing this interview, Mr. Burak Özkiper, a partner at Parmet, was kind enough to help us with the organization of this interview. Therefore, we would to thank both Burhan and Burak Özkiper for sparing their time to this interview.
Can you please briefly tell about yourself?
I was born in Eskişehir in 1968. I took my secondary school degree in the SHAPE American High School and then completed my high school education at the Eskişehir Anatolian High School. I studied mechanical engineering at the Anadolu University. At the beginning of my career and for some subsequent years, too, I worked mainly for the appliance sheet metal industry. I assumed both junior and senior roles.
Can you please tell about Parmet and its activities?
Parmet has assumed an innovative role in the sheet metal pressing and mass production. It today maintains its traditional quality with its professional and skilled technical team without compromising its quality. It serves main industry firms as a successful supply industry.
With its pressing line ranging from 30 tons to 400 tons, the firm can perform progressive and mass production with sheet metal width of up to 6 mm. Our specialization area consists of design and production of sheet metals, product assembly lines and other production techniques, which ensure we provide our customers with the best products at the desired quality, lead time and special customizations.
When did you meet Parmet?
In 2003 I joined Parmet as founding partners and took necessary actions for ensuring the company has a smooth transition to production processes.
In line with our growing targets, in 2005 we moved to a larger facility in Kurtköy, Istanbul and at the same time invited our partner Burak Özkiper to join us who then worked as senior mechanical engineer for GE MTC, an affiliate of the international GE Aircraft. Thereby, we have increased our investment in machinery, molds, production, design and other related areas. We now serve main industry firms in these areas as a reliable supplier.
Can you please give us information about the organizational structure of Parmet?
Our company is currently well positioned in order to achieve its vision and mission and ensure our organizational structure functions effectively and lead to fruitful results.
