McKinsey's Italy and Germany centers were visited on 16-20 October 2023 to develop the entrepreneurship ecosystem of our OzUBEX Industrial Transformation Center, which was established with the common vision of TÜSİAD, the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the funds and support of the European Union, and to create a more beneficial ecosystem for companies.

Within the scope of the program, visits were made to Collective Incubator McKinsey Innovation&Learning Center Aachen, Fablab in Treviso, McKinsey Innovation&Learning Center Venice LEF centers. BEYSAD President Deniz Yasemin Aksu, BEYSAD Vice President Sayat Çakır, OzBEX Industrial Transformation Center Director Erinç Albey and officials from our project attended the visits.

Giving the details and opinions about the program, OzUBEX Director Erinç Albey said, “The design of the services of OzUBEX, which was established with the common vision of BEYSAD, Özyeğin University and TÜSİAD, and the funds and support of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the European Union, created an ecosystem to provide these services in a value-added manner. We made various visits to Germany and Italy between 16-20 October to create and closely experience the business models of digital transformation, innovation and experiential learning centers with similar services in Europe.

First of all, a visit was made to Collective Incubator Aachen, which has been selected as a successful formation in the field of entrepreneurship in Germany in the last two years. Here, we had the opportunity to hear from the individual entrepreneurs of this formation and the successful enterprise that sprouted within the last formation. We followed a different path in entrepreneurship and observed how innovation can be designed as a service and how collaborative working models with industry can be realized at Fablab Treviso, which is based on support for companies in innovation.

McKinsey Innovation and Learning Center, Aachen and McKinsey Innovation and Learning Center, Venice, where ÖzUBEX is a role model, can find the opportunity to hear in detail from the center officials about the services and business models of the Venice experiential learning centers for two full days full of reproduction in their ecosystems. We learned how the centers effectively trigger change in businesses that receive support from them on lean, digital transformation and sustainability issues, and what touches they make to make the change permanent.
