Obligations of the Border Carbon Regulation Mechanism in the Cooperation of Ernst & Young Turkey were Discussed at the BEYSAD Organization

White Goods Suppliers’ Association (BEYSAD), which provides its members with the opportunity to follow development and sectoral trends through frequent physical and online events, held the "Obligations of the Border Carbon Regulation Mechanism Information Webinar" on Wednesday, November 15, in cooperation with Ernst & Young Turkey.

Borderline Carbon Regulation Mechanism (SKDM), which has been talked about and discussed for a long time, has been implemented in the European Union (EU) as of October 1. The regulation will be temporarily implemented until January 1, 2026, and the process will be monitored only through reporting. After 2026, it will be implemented financially, that is, in real terms. During this period, it becomes clear what kind of obligations exporters in countries that are not EU members and do not implement the Emission Trading System (ETS) will face. Approximately 60 people from 30 member companies attended the webinar, which provided information about SKDM and its obligations to companies.

The opening speech of the event was given by BEYSAD Board Member Tuğba Özalp, and EY Turkey’s Indirect Taxes Department Leader Sercan Bahadır gave information about SKDM.

We would like to thank all our participants who showed interest in the event and contributed to our development together by giving their time, and the Ernst & Young Turkey family for their cooperation. Hope to see you at our future events…
