BEYSAD attended the 20th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) held in Shanghai, China on September 19-23, 2018 with 16 members and also, visited KUKA Tech Center.

BEYSAD’s Vice President Mr. Erdoğan Kalay talked about the trip: “We had another very successful and timely trip/visit. We saw tens of robot, IOT, industrial automation producers as well as scientific innovation projects of various universities, which amazed us and honestly, worried us a little. Although China seems to be behind the West in many fields, it moves for ward very fast from cheap labor to science and technology axis. We are aware of what is going on. We must move for wardrelentlessly.” 

CIIF covers Innovative, Smart, Green the medrobots, industrial automation, environment conservation technology, ICT, metal work and CNC machine tools, new energy, electric cars, new material and space and aviation. The main theme of CIIF can be summarized as bringing together digital and smart ends that display the deepintegration of information technology and production technology. The fair is said to be the fastest growing fair achieving 17% growth compared to last year and gaining a strong industrial reputation and support. 

We observed a high number of Chinese robot and industrial automation producers as well as several European and Japanese companies. A large hall was spared to only universities and start-ups, which showed how much the country cares for development. It would not be wrong to say the advancement is fast thanks to state incentives. 

At our visit to KUKA Tech, we had the chance to receive information about China, the Midea-KUKA joint venture success and where the robot Technologies have come, especially in terms of the white goods sector via Professional presentations. We would like to thank KUKA Turkey Country Manager Mr. Kağan Abidin and Industrial Segment Manager Mr. Mehmet Yenilmez for supporting us to make this event possible as well as Ms. Eeva-Maria Kittilae, our contact person in China. 

We would like to proudly say that our visits to CIIF and KUKA have been quite beneficial for seeing the implementations and solutions of Industry 4.0 in China, as it is a hot topic for our country and for our sector.
