BEYSAD brought WHITE GOODS MAIN AND SUPPLIER INDUSTRY and all the industry shareholders together once again…

White Goods Suppliers Association (BEYSAD) held its 24^th Ordinary Financial General Assembly Meeting in Hilton Bosporus Hotel Harbiye on Thursday, April 20, 2017 and brought the representatives of the entire sector together. The guest speaker of the program was ICI (Istanbul Chamber of Industry) President Mr. Erdal Bahçıvan.

The meeting was attended by approximately 120 people and started with the opening and a moment of silence followed by the National Anthem, as per the agenda. Next, the Presidency Council was elected. Mr. Murat Önay, Ms. Tuğba Özalp and Ms. Işıl Günhan were elected to the Council by suggestion.

In guidance by the President of the Council, Mr. Ş. Burak Özaydemir, President of the Board of Directors of BEYSAD, was invited to the stage and presented the activities of 2016.

Next, as per the agenda, the balance sheet and income and expenditure accounts of 2016 were presented by BEYSAD Board Member-Controller Mr. Sefa Böyet; the Audit Board Report was read out by President of the Audit Board Mr. M. Bahadır Balkır; and the budget draft of 2016 was read out by Mr. Sefa Böyet and submitted for vote. It was unanimously approved.

By the additional proposed agenda submitted to the Presidency Council, BEYSAD membership fee increase was discussed, submitted for vote and unanimously approved.

During the wishes and requests section, much esteemed guests took the stage. Mr. Savaş Özaydemir, Mr. Bahadır Balkır, Mr. Hasan Basri Aksu, Mr. Hasan Danişment, Mr. Orhan Yeloğlu, Mr. Murat Öney, Mr. Sayat Çakır, Mr. Bilgin Semiz, Mr. Nejdet Tıskaoğlu, and Mr. İsmail Günhan and other esteemed and experienced industrialists and young members of the Board of Directors and new members shared their beautiful memories of BEYSAD and their trust in the future of BEYSAD. This was a very sincere moment and at the end of the day, we learnt that all the participants enjoyed this section very much.

At the end of this section, the event sponsor Etaşımacılık Sales Representative Mr. Hakkı Koray Ayışık was invited to the stage and received a thank you plaque from Burak Özaydemir.

The second section of the meeting started with the welcome and opening speech of Mr. Ş. Burak Özaydemir followed by BEYSAD Board Member Mr. Hasan Okyar Bayraktar’s presentation on BEYSAD, the industry and BEYSAD activities carried out.

Next, the special guest of the day ICI President Mr. Erdal Bahçıvan took the stage and presented the data and operations regarding the industry. His sincere speech His sincere speech received much interest and after his speech, he was presented a thank you plaque by Mr. Ş. Burak Özaydemir.

Mr. Bahçıvan talked about the ecosystem created within the Turkish economy by the companies and industrialists of the White Goods industry and underlined the contribution of BEYSAD members, being a part of this ecosystem, in the Turkish economy from exports to employment, from technology to added value. Mr. Bahçıvan stated that the Association had a solid place and representation under the ICI and he continued: "For instance, purchases from Pakistan and Romania or Vestel's meetings with Toshiba give us hope about the future of the Turkish industry as well as pride for keeping our flag flying everywhere."

After the program ended, a big family photograph was taken and the cocktail started.
