Award For Tatmetal's Integrated Pollution Prevention And Control Operations

Tatmetal was awarded in the Metal Production and Processing Facilities Evaluation Project (IPPC-Metal) carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and Karabuk University and organized within the scope of clean and sustainable production, integrated pollution prevention and control operations.

Within the scope of the project, in which companies that reduce their emissions ​​by controlling air, water and soil pollution and through waste management in industrial facilities with high environmental impact, Tatmetal was awarded with its applications.

Organized within the scope of Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) Regulation, the project investigates the compliance status of company facilities operating in the ferrous and non-ferrous metal sector to IPPC regulation and IPPC certification system requirements. It was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and Karabük University.

In the research, which included approximately 4000 companies, Tatmetal was among the 10 facilities most ready for the conditions in the project draft, in terms of the information it provided and field applications. At the closing meeting of the IPPC Metal project held in Ankara, Tatmetal representatives received their awards after a presentation describing their best practices.
