When did your paths cross with your company?
I have been providing professional service both in the country and abroad as an import and export specialist in the iron and steel industry for about 5-6 years. Although our paths crossed with Ateş Demir Çelik a long time ago, we started to work professionally in 2021. Currently, I am running the Domestic Sales Manager and International Relations of Ateş Demir Çelik.
Could you give information about the organizational structure of your company?
Our company has been divided into departments by advancing towards institutionalization. Sales and Shipment are managed at our Dudullu facility, and our Finance department is managed from our corporate office in Ataşehir. In addition to these, we have facilities in Bursa and Konya.
Which sectors do you serve?
We proceeded with an organizational structure that primarily sells to steelmakers. In line with the subsequent demands, we had the opportunity to work with Turkey's leading companies in the molding industry, automotive industry, defense industry, aviation, white goods sectors and we have established long-term cooperation with our service quality.
Can you talk about your export rates and which country you export to the most?
ince Turkey does not yet have value-added production in tool steel, we are working mainly on imports to meet the domestic needs and the needs of our machine manufacturers. As of 2021, we assumed the representation of METALCAM SPA ITALY in Turkey and started to supply Italian steel to our customers in Turkey.
What are the features that set you apart from your competitors?

We currently have 3 separate facilities located in Istanbul, Bursa, and Konya. With the principle of "Innovation arises from necessity" as Vijay Govindarajov said, we shape our investments in line with customer needs and evaluate the current market dynamics sensitively.
How about your operations during the pandemic? How was the year 2021 for you?
During the pandemic, we carried out our necessary precautionary activities very sensitively, saying people first, with our internal customers, our staff and our partners. Our staff is the highest value for us.
What are your predictions for 2022 and the risk factors you see?
Unpredictable price changes occur in the steel market due to fluctuations in energy costs and supply-demand imbalance in raw material prices. In such cases, we reflect the risk and loss to the end customer by minimizing them as much as possible. In addition, the container crisis in the international logistics sector has a negative impact on freight costs. Such situations affect unit costs.
How do you see the development of Industry 4.0 in Turkey? Do you have any operations or precautions regarding digitalization?
We are constantly improving our system to respond more spontaneously to increasing demands. Our 12 pcs. of PLC machines can provide full integration with computer-controlled software during digitalization. In this sense, we are constantly improving our investments with our young and dynamic team.
