Could you please introduce yourself?
Hello, I’m Yasir Bayram. I was born in Istanbul in 1991. I graduated from Bezmialem Vakıf University Faculty of Medicine. As one of the partners of Bimko Elektrik, I am primarily responsible for our international sales operations.
Could you tell us about your company and its activities?
Our company was founded in 1993 in Istanbul by our father, Seyfullah Bayram. As a family business, Bimko has continued its production activities with my brothers Cihad Bayram, Şamil Bayram, and Enes Bayram following our father’s passing in 2015.
We specialize in the production of activated carbon filters for cooker hoods within the white goods spare parts sector, positioning ourselves as the market leader in Türkiye and among the top three manufacturers globally. Additionally, we offer plastic part production services through our in-house mold shop and injection machines, tailored to customer demands.
When did your path cross with the company?
Since it’s a family business, we grew up immersed in its operations. However, I began taking an active role in the company’s management especially after 2015. Since then, I’ve been directly involved in shaping our sales and marketing strategies.
Could you describe your company’s organizational structure?
Our company has a team of 40 experienced professionals. Each department is managed by experts in their respective fields, and we aim to deliver the best service to our customers by prioritizing quality throughout all processes.
Which sectors do you serve?
We primarily manufacture components and parts for white goods. In addition, we carry out projects for the medical and automotive sectors.
Could you share your export ratios and the countries you export to most?
Approximately 85–90% of our company’s turnover comes from exports. Among the 18 countries we export to directly, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom lead the way. Thanks to our distributors, our products are available in nearly 50 countries.
What distinguishes you from your competitors?
At Bimko Elektrik, we’ve always prioritized growth in exports and production, and investing in our business. This vision is what sets us apart from our competitors. As a result, we’ve earned our customers’ trust through a broad product range, fast delivery, and a balanced price–quality policy.
Could you tell us about your new investments and R&D efforts?
We launched a new factory investment in February 2024 in the Balıkesir–Bandırma region, with a closed area of 4,000 m². We aim to complete the project by the end of 2025 and begin production in our new facility in the first quarter of 2026.
How did the first half of 2025 go for your company and business potential?
The first half of 2025 was highly productive for our company. Compared to the same period in 2024, we achieved approximately 30% growth.
What are your projections and perceived risks for 2026?
Our hope for 2026 is to see an economic environment where costs are more predictable for manufacturers and access to financing is easier. We believe that our country’s development depends on exports, production, and investment — and we shape our strategies accordingly.
What are your thoughts on BEYSAD and your expectations from the association?
BEYSAD is a significant unifying force for our sector. Through its organized events, we closely follow industry developments and gain access to new commercial opportunities thanks to the sharing of international demands. We would like to express our appreciation for these contributions. We wish continued success and thank you for this valuable interview invitation.
