People's Republic of China Trade Committee was held with the joint members of BEYSAD-TET by the cooperation
17-23 April 2016

From April 17-23, 2016, a trip to People's Republic of China was organized with a committee of 18 companies and TET, BEYSAD team and 36 individuals. During the trip that encompassed the cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai, the Committee had the chance to see Canton and IFA Fairs, visit the facilities of Beko, Midea, Rongsheng, and Chint, and meet with Chinese companies through B2B discussions.

We would like to share with you the comments of TET Board Member Atilla Eren and BEYSAD Chairperson of the Board of Directors Ş. Burak Özaydemir on the trip.

Atilla Eren: “China, one of the world's greatest economies, increases its import and export volumes day by day, develops very rapidly, and now there is almost no industries where China is not competitive. On the other hand, it provides great opportunities in the domestic market with its 1.3 billions of population. Turkish business people are more adventageous than western business people due to cultural closeness in order to increase our export volume in this big market. The only thing needed to gain the potential gains of China is to bring a systematic approach and to be patient.

Electric, Electronic and Service Exporters Association strives to provide business people with all kinds of support in this big market. In this regard, we organized a China Trade Committee with 18 member companies in the industry from April 17-23, 2016. The most of our participating companies comprised of White Appliances Suppliers.

Turkey is one of the world's hubs for white appliances production and is advanced in terms of suppliers, scale and technology. With this strong position of ours, we have a higher potential of establishing cooperation in the Chinese market. Therefore, it is difficult for our industry, but while organizing the first ever trade committee to China, a close cooperation was established with BEYSAD and a comprehensive organization was held.

We think that the trip to China was beneficial for the companies and we would like to thank the BEYSAD member companies that attended the Committee and everyone who worked hard to make it happen for their valuable contribution.”

Ş. Burak Özaydemir: “We think that it is important for our members to follow closely any opportunities and threats in China, which holds a critical place in the white appliances industry and the world economy. On this note, these events that involved a trip, fair and company visits, and B2B meetings organized with TET served as a significant chance for giving an impression. It is always astonishing to observe the position China has come to in terms of production and domestic market scales and infrastructure. It made us proud to see Turkish companies attending fairs that became global marketplaces and Turkish-invested successful companies in China. That our esteemed Consulate and Attache were with us during the trip gave us strength. We would like to thank TET management and employees who made this event happen."

We wanted to provide you with detailed information on this full-week fruitful trip. We hope that our esteemed members who could not be there got informed as if they had participated. We hope that it was a productive trip and briefing and we would like to thank our participating members and wish to see them at future events.
