ELECTED FOR PRESIDENT ONCE AGAIN…

The special event carried out to celebrate BEYSAD’s 25th year anniversary, the WHITE GOODS MAIN AND SUPPLIERS’ INDUSTRY and the World of Business gathered together once again…

White Goods Suppliers’ Industry Association (BEYSAD) elected the new Board of Directors at the 25th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting that was held in Hilton BosphorusOtelHarbiye on Wednesday, April 04,2018…

The meeting, attended by about 220 people, was a big WHITE GOODS SECTOR GATHERING bringing together the white goods main and suppliers’ industry representatives and TUSIAD CEO Mr. ErolBilecikand TUSIAD Board members.

Top executives of Arcelik, B/S/H, Candy-Hoover, LG, VestelBeyazEsya, and Whirlpool as well as TET- Electric and Electronic Exporters Union CEO Mr. Fatih Kemal Ebicliogluand TET Board members, TURKBESD –Turkish White Goods Industrialists Association Board members attended the meeting.

The Meeting started with an opening based on the agenda, a moment of silence and the National Anthem. Next, the Executive Board was elected. Mr. Murat Onay, Ms. Begum Atalayand Ms. PelinSonmez were elected to the Board based on suggestion.

Based on the mediation by the Chairman, BEYSAD President S. Burak Ozaydemir was invited to the stage and gave the guests an opening speech and then, presented the BEYSAD Activities of 2017 in summary.

After these speeches, according to the agenda 2017 balance and income-expense charts and 2018 draft budget were presented by BEYSAD Board member Mr. Sefa Boyet; the Audit Board Report was read out by Audit Board President Mr. M. Bahadir Balkir and submitted for vote. It was accepted by unanimity.

Next, Board of Directors, Audit Board and Disciplinary Board members were elected and the following list was accepted by unanimity.

Good wishes section included heartfelt speeches. With the speeches given by BEYSAD 2004-2010 President and General Assembly Chairman Mr. B. Murat Onay, HasanDanisment, BahadirBalkir, HasanBasriAksu, SemaviYorgancılarand AysegulKoc, guests were down the memory lane…

During the break, the duty distribution of the new Board members was made at their first Board Meeting and Mr. S. BurakOzaydemir was decided to continue to be the President, Mr. ErdoganKalayand Mr. Murat Oney to be the Vice Presidents and Mr. SefaBoyet to be the Treasurer by unanimity. Ms. DenizYaseminAksubecame the new member of the BEYSAD Executive Board. We congratulate the new Board and wish the continuation of their success.

The second part of the meeting started with again Mr. S. Burak Ozaydemir’s welcome to the guests and opening speech. After Mr. Ozaydemir’s friendly speech, BEYSAD Board Member Mr. Hasan Okyar Bayraktar presented BEYSAD’s last 2 years of operations to the shareholders in the second part of the meeting. The presentation including important information on the sector, BEYSAD, and new projects planned was received with interest and like by the guests.

Next, the special guest of the day, TUSIAD President Mr. Erol Bilecik took the stage and gave a speech including data regarding and operations of the sector and very significant messages regarding the Turkey conjuncture. His sincere speech received interest and a Thank You Plaque was presented to him by Mr. S. Burak Ozaydemir at the end of his speech.

After this important speech, 25 Years in Pictures film was watched.

“From time to time, we want to go through old photo albums, and we should… This is an opportunity to see the point we have come to, our improvement and what is more that we can improve and to make up for our lacks and mistakes… But most importantly, even though remembering the past might sadden sometimes, it also gives joy and happiness… It reminds of effort, loyalty, kindness, and friendship…

Since the day I started to get ready for this special day, the first thing I did was to go through our old issues from cover to cover; I have to say it was an amazing journey. Considering our current conditions, our industrialists achieved so much with “so little”. Sublime… They are all among us today; some actually, some in our hearts…

As you see, 25 years cannot fit into one activity book, one short film or a few photographs. We tried to enable you to visualize all these past years. With what you are going to watch in a little while, I believe that you will realize the point we have come to with pride and tears in your eyes...

After the film that received emotion and joy, T25th Year Special Thank You Plaques were presented.

Among the shareholders, TET, TURKBESD, Arcelik, BSH, Vesteland Whirlpool representatives were presented plaques. Previous term BEYSAD Executive Board Presidents, Secretary Generals as well as the Association’s 21-year employee Ms. SevdaBalciand the current BEYSAD Secretary General and 14-year BEYSAD employee Ms. AysegulKocwere also honored with plaques. Also, founder Board Members and the past Board Members of BEYSAD wholabored for 25 years were honored with plaques.

After a very exciting ceremony, a family photograph was taken, 25th Year cake was cut and everybody sang Happy Birthday to BEYSAD, which was followed by cocktail.

We are a quarter century old and all these years, our BEYSAD family, family ties, and our activities grow day by day, year by year with enthusiasm and much devotion… Today, in this very special General Assembly meeting, we had the privilege to celebrate BEYSAD’s birthday all together with a big group of people who are the fellow travelers of BEYSAD since the very beginning.We are grateful to all of you for growing BEYSAD, for giving it strength and energy, and for being with us today to celebrate this very special day. We will continue to grow this legacy; we hope you will grow the pine saplings you are gifted with BEYSAD and your love for BEYSAD…
